Jide Technology Corporation just dropped a massive third update of Remix Operating System (OS). Remix OS 3.0 gives users the ability to install Android on almost any hardware. Like Linux, Remix runs great on slow or older hardware. If you’ve got moldering junk rotting away, now is the perfect time to put it to use.
Hardware and Software Requirements
Jide recommends a system with the following specifications:
2.0 GHz dual-core processor.2 GB of RAM.8 GB of hard drive space. (This is a hard requirement.)
You can run Remix OS on a much weaker system, although with performance penalties. Even so, my 1 GHz AMD Kabini system runs every single app that I’ve tried with speed and fluidity.
Like all mobile operating systems, it includes GPS navigation via Google Maps, media playback capabilities, and streaming music — among many other features. Almost any app in Android can also run on Remix.
Remix OS comes in 32-bit and 64-bit variants on Jide’s download page. Before proceeding with any downloads, find out which version you need. If you don’t know the difference, the 32-bit version works on almost all systems.
You’ll need the following software and hardware before continuing:
√.Remix OS 3.0 32-bit (Download) or 64-bit (Download).
(This package also contains a tool that installs Remix OS to a flash drive.)
√. EasyBCD (Download)
√.A hard disk 2nd partition (as FAT32) with at least 8 GB.
√.A computer to install Remix OS onto.
Installing Remix OS to a Hard Drive [with dual boot(recommended)]
Step 1 : Create a new hard disk partition as Remix_OS [file system should be FAT32 (not NTFS) ]
CLICK HERE to know how to create partition without losing any data.
Step 2: Extract .iso file of Remix OS into new partition (Remix_OS).
CLICK HERE to know how to view and extract .iso file.
Step 3: Now Install EasyBCD (Download)
Step 4: After that, open EasyBCD and click on "Add New Entry"
Step 5: You will see "Portable external Media" tab right side below. Just click on iso tab
Step 6: Now, Enter name as Remix_OS
Step 7: Then in path, locate .iso file which you have downloaded.
Step 8: After that, click on "Add Entry" button
Step 9: After Adding Entry successful , go to tool menu and in drop down menu choose & click on "restart computer".
Step 10: After rebooting the computer it will always ask for two options
First for windows os
Second for remix os
Step 11: Now you just click on remix os.
It will give two options
One is guest mode and second for resident mode
Step 12: So I strongly recommend you to click on the resident mode because in guest mode it will delete your all data after using it and in resident mode it will save the data after once used.
That's it
Thank you..
